I don't know about you, but I LOVE to put on my favorite Missoni dress, accessorize and head out to the local amusement park to ride the rocking horse.

Leighton Meester: Well Suited

If you're gonna try to pull off a suit, you better do it right. And Miss Blair knows her shit. She paired a smoky suit with a smoky eye, a fabulous, green alligator clutch & satin Ferragamo pumps. I love the mix of charcoal and gem tones. Move on over Serena, B's movin' in for the kill. Perhaps this year, you'll trade in your holiday dress for a similar ensemble?

Blake + Vogue

Anna & Karl's little darling, Blake, landed Vogue's "Best Dressed" cover.
If you were in charge, would you have done the same? Some of the other contenders included: Sienna Miller, Jessica Biel, Michelle Obama, SJP, Angelina Jolie & Gaga.
{Blake in Chanel at the 2010 CFDA Awards, above}
{Not entirely fair, because this is obvi from the set...I like this look, though}
I love her, love Serena, love Gossip Girl, love her hair.
Best dressed, though? Not sure.

Bombshell

Blake Lively.

Just the name alone conjures up envious thoughts regarding her lustrous mane and long legs.
If you aren't watching "Gossip Girl," you've got some explaining to do.
The clothes and Chace Crawford alone are justifications for this guilty pleasure!
In the October issue of Allure magazine, she discusses her new film called "The Town," relationship with fellow GG star Penn Badgley, and plans for the future.
You know you love me.

A NYC Television Manifesto: Gossip Girl & The City

          Yesterday, at school, I was in the computer lab {where else?} and told one of my classmates that I felt stressed because of the amount of television I had to watch.  This might sound ridiculous, but even more crazy was her response, "you watch tv?"  Uhhhh....I wanted to reply, "It's my lifeline!  It's my sanity! Serena's my best friend!  I am a better person because I know Kelly Cutrone!"  I didn't want to scare her so I just said, "of course!"  But seriously, where would I be without these shows?  Probably dead in a dumpster in Jersey.  So, luckily, last night I was able to catch up on my shows and was left feeling so many things.  Hopefully you watch one of these, if you do, please feel free to chime in.  If not, my dears, you're truly missing out and should really jump on the van der Woodsen/Waldorf/Cutrone/Port bandwagon.  Here goes:

1.  Gossip Girl

I have to say, this season has truly turned itself around.  When they first started "college" {quotes because, are they ever actually in class?  yeah, no.} I was ready to give up on this show.  I hated the Georgina plotline
and it really upset me that Blair was uncool.  However, things have since changed and Monday's episode almost made me cry...from sheer exhilaration.  Here's why:
a.  Serena's Thanksgiving outfit:  I spent the whole time wondering who makes her gorgeous deep V with lace black dress.  Completely inappropriate for her family dinner, but absolutely stunning.  I almost had a heart attack when I googled it this morning to find that it's NOT A DRESS, but a Stella McCartney jumpsuit.  TBF doesn't wear jumpsuits...like, ever.  If you loved it and need it, it's on sale at Bergdorf's for $1,197.  I say go for it!  I also need to plug this amazing website I found to shop Gossip Girl exact style.  It categorizes each episode by character and sets you up with their looks, click here {but come back!}
b.  van der Woodsen Thanksgiving Dinner:  First I need to point out that Eleanor Waldorf brought lox to the van der Woodsen home.  I found this absolutely hilarious, anyone else?  Next, the entire dinner scene almost brought tears to my eyes, it was so good.  So well orchestrated, each line better than the next.  I loved how even Vanessa chimed in with a bitchy dig at her mother.  Mom says, "Children!"  Vanessa says, "Like you would know..."  Shit!  Someone's gonna get spanked!  I also loved when Blair was trying to prove that her mom was pregnant {realistic because she must be in her 50s...} and sipped wine to challenge her.  The glare she gave her was incredible.  I wonder how long she has to practice it before she goes on set...Last, I love Lily's mother.  There's nothing better than a "classy," elderly, drunk lady saying whatever comes to mind without hesitation.  I want to be just like her when I grow up!
c.  The Serena/Tripp non-relationship relationship: I just don't get it.  What does she see in him??  I don't even understand why they got together in the first place.  Being entirely superficial and based on looks, she is wayyyyyy out of his league.  This, above everything else, is the most unrealistic part of the whole storyline.  Serena, you're fooling yourself!  You can do so much better than that!
d. Eric v. Jenny:  My thoughts on these two are relatively straightforward.  Eric, don't mess with Little J. She will end up wiping the floor with you and then eating you for dessert.  She has a fire in her and will tear you apart.  I would just back off now and retreat into your little space off the Queen of Constance's radar. It's for your own good.

Anything I missed?  Onward.

2.  The City

a.  Cutrone said, "Bergdorf's is the most important store in the world."  Fashionistas: do you agree?  Not sure...
b.  Roxy is a user & manipulator fantastic friend!: After the Bergdorf associates told Whitney she needed some black in her collection, Whitney replied that no one wears black in LA.  Her best friend, Roxy came right to her rescue by asserting that SHE wears black in LA.  Good save Rox!  Way to stand up for your girl!
c.  Erin, Olivia & Joe Zee have a sit down: While this pow wow was wayyy overdue, I still have a hard time believing it's real.  The feuding, the power plays, Erin's mood swings, Olivia's eternally smug look.  How can it possibly be real.  I did feel like Erin left the room at the end to go cry, but I just still don't understand. Clearly, Erin and Olivia wouldn't be "friends" in real life, but I can't actually believe Erin would put her job on the line by throwing down that "Olivia or me" ultimatum.  It just wouldn't happen.  Olivia walked onto that job a few months ago and Erin's been there for years.  I don't believe she wouldn't be able to work it out with her.  I can't say Olivia would be a stellar coworker or an employee, but I can't understand Erin's larger than life reactions to her.  One of life's true mysteries and great treasures.
d.  My favorite part of the whole episode, Kelly Cutrone to Roxy, trying to discourage Roxy from accompanying Whitney to the Bergdorf presentation: "Don't you think it would be better for her, that you guys don't stand there like Lucy and Ethel in like some kind of bad Stephen King film?"

Anything else?

*In other news, Kelly Cutrone dropped the "f bomb" on Good Day New York...BRAVA!  Read about it here.  Apparently, unaware that the show didn't have a 7 second delay.  I think she still would have done it.
Go Team Kelly!

* Also, it should be known that Joe Zee is on twitter and has some of the best tweets around. He's super funny and it's definitely him.  He is constantly doling out fashion advice to seemingly anyone that asks. He's @mrjoezee and I recommend following him!

Wanted to recap the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, but as you can see, I spent wayyy to much time discussing the other shows.  Another day, another blog post!  See you soon!

xoxo, TBF

Blair Waldorf Seeks Revenge....

In a black YSL stunner and a pair of Louboutin heels, Blair Cornelia Waldorf officially reclaimed her throne, offing Serena, via the pages of December GQ. Gotta hand it to her, no one, not even S, can upstage Miss Blair.
What do you think? Team Blair or Team Serena?

Full Leighton article & more photos here.

I have an army to build, a school to take over, and girls to blackmail.
V neck by D&G. Panties by Fifi Chachnil. Heels by Christian Louboutin.

I used to have a friend like Jenny. I made all these sacrifices and you know what I got back on that investment? Zero. Because girls like her run emotional Ponzi schemes.

Gossip Girl hits the Red Carpet

I have a confession. It's less of a confession & more of just a general proclamation. I am 100% addicted in the worst way to GOSSIP GIRL. I'm not sure if it's the outfits, the music or the witty-not-for-teenagers-banter, but if loving GG is wrong, I don't want to be right! Here are some photos of the cast at the Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City last night.

Perhaps my favorite part of the show is not exactly the show itself, but New York Magazine's Daily Intel GG article, a brilliant post-show roundup of the parts of the show that are "More Real Than Faking a Pregnancy to Solve a Boy Problem" and the rest that's "More Fake Than a Ponzi Scheme Started by a Pair of Pretty Twenty-something Half-wits."

Share my addiction & read NY Mag's Daily Intel here
