Do You Love Me? One Month Free Sponsorships

Yesterday, while riding to school, this song filled the speakers of my car. With the first "Do You Love Me?" I found myself full out Dirty Dancing in my car. Two men on a corner in Queens were quite amused watching me shimmy and shake in the front seat at the red light. The song is just contagious, you can't help but dance and think about Penny, Johnny, Baby, and of course, watermelons.  What songs force you to dance? For me, it's pretty much anything...

On a different, but similar note, I am opening my blog up for sponsorships. I will be running a one month free trial period, starting March 1st. If you are a small business, etsy shoppe owner, artist or seller of something, please email me at thebeautyfile@gmail.com. I will be honoring the first 15 requests that I receive. Thanks for your continued support and love!

Denim-licious

I just bought this GAP denim tunic and I'm already planning out when I will wear it.With leggings, black jeans, flats and boots, this tunic is going to get the $hit worn out of it!  My new purchase got me thinking about how much I love denim, and not just jeans. I scouted the internet and found a great selection of tops, dresses, tanks and vests for your spring wardrobes. I completely forgot to email myself where they can be purchased, but check back tomorrow for that info.

So, are we all about the denim this season?

J'adore Miss Nanette Lepore

Nanette Lepore is my go-to line for romantic elegance.  This season Nanette brings us yet another collection of glamorous pieces and I want to wear them ALL. I'm smitten by the mixture of velvet, leather and classic colors with understated designs. Looking at this line, I feel like I'd have a lot of FUN wearing it...but for now, we must admire from afar.  My faves are #2 & #4. How 'bout you?

Milly Fall 2010: Parlez-vous français?

Milly has been one of my personal faves for awhile. This season, designer Michelle Smith brings us a collection filled with Parisian whimsical charm. Side ponytails, berets, brightly colored tights coupled with classic, wearable pieces in a style unique to those fabulous French women. The Chanel inspired suits paired with charming gloves and patent Mary Janes scream, "Wear me while cruising down the Champs Elysees, with a Chanel flap 2.55!" Even if you won't be travelling to Paris soon, you will certainly exude the look in this collection.

Michael Kors, I DESIRE You!

If you're not already on the neutral train, you had better get your act together by Fall. It looks like there's a new sheriff in town who's laying down the classic look as law. I'm personally a HUGE fan of browns, taupes, greys & all things neutral. Mr. Kors, you're driving me insane with this mix of leather, cashmere & fur.

Me-owwwwwww.
If anyone in the Kors camp happens to stumble upon this blog, I'll just take the entire collection...sent straight to my house.  Thanks!

i like your hair...and your dress.

The ultra elegant evening attire at Vera Wang could make any girl feel like she's partying on the East Egg with the Gatsbys.  The stunning black frocks, chunky layered pearls, long satin gloves & sparkles over tulle would make a dapper man tip his top hat.  My favorite part?  The hair.  Most definitely, the hair.  I dare you not to try this front middle part with the bouffant in the back.

Gems of Knowledge

My b.f.f.l.a.e. {best friend for life and evaaah} has jumped on the blogging parade & is making her BIG debut!  Her little spot on the internet is called, "So Whaddya Do?" and it's a fantastic resource for job hunters, career changers and college students.  Lissy reveals the ins and outs of various careers by interviewing those in the know, taking the guesswork out of what's required to get your foot in the door.

For all you fashionistas, her second interview is with none other than the Rachel Antonoff, who will be showing her new collection later this week!
Lissy's birthday was yesterday, send some birthday love & check out her blog!
Tell her I sent ya!
