Chanel Pre Fall 2011

Karl transformed the iconic Rue Cambon store into a living room straight from the Ottoman Empire. Bronze sequins adorned the walls and attendees sat on embroidered pillows. This season's theme was dubbed, "Paris-Byzance" and Karl wanted it to feel like, "Granny took a trip to Constantinople." Not sure whose granny he's referring to, but mine never looked like this. Who's gonna try to recreate the Empress Theodora hive?
Stunning, Karl. Truly stunning. I just can not get over the first dress and love that it's paired with flat gladiators. Totally my philosophy: keep the hair HIGH and the shoes LOW. Work it.

Right There In Black & White

Spring is in the air. {Spring 2011 that is, if you even remotely love Fashion as much as I do.} While browsing all of the shows these past 2 weeks, I couldn’t help but notice all of the designs in black and white. There was so much beautiful color to indulge in: silvery gray, fuschia, yellow, and an amazing coral tone, but this classic pair kept popping up everywhere. While I love color, there’s something about black and white that is so crisp, sophisticated and pretty. It’s just so Chanel-esque, don’t you think?
