Adore that first bathing suit!
Also, want to see Letters to Juliet, no matter what the cheese level.

Summer Hair: 1 Look, 4 Ways

I love a clean, easy summer do.
As the summer heats up, my main hair objective is to keep it neat, yet stylish.
A pretty low braid or pony can do the job and keep you looking fresh.
Make your braid elegant and tie a black, satin ribbon at the end.
Go for a middle part and a low pony.
Then, add bling and bright red lipstick for extra glamour...
You can't go wrong with a voluminous, wavy side braid.
I'd use a diffuser to blow dry the top and infuse the volume.
Then let the rest dry naturally with your favorite summer products.
Braid and go!
This red carpet look allows your pretty face to take center stage.
Sleek, elegant, ravishing!

Tune in this week for my wavy hair product arsenal!

Unrelated, yet relatable...

Who's feeling sad about the end of LOST?
I will miss the island, the dharma initiative, crazy time traveling, black smoke, wild beasts in the jungle, Ben being good and then bad, Locke being good and then bad, the nest growing on Claire's head and most of all, plotlines I will never in a million years understand.
ps: I will miss you in the following order {greatest to least}:
Desmond, Sawyer, Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sun, Sayid, Ben.
Will Olivia ever "get it?"
Being uber bitchy, yet uber stylish doesn't cancel each other out.
Lovely dresses, lovely ladies.
Oh, Zooey, how many times can you capture our hearts?!
A trend I'd like to try 6 months pregnant...
must have in my nursery as soon as possible, thanks.

How I envision spending time with my son...HA!

Have a great weekend!
Let the summer begin!!

Sunbathing with the Stars...

Chateau Marmont

I'd like to think I'd be able to lay out next to celebrities at CM. In reality, I'd be so fidgety sneaking a peek over my magazine to spy on them, surreptitiously & so creepily! Over three years ago, we honeymooned in Cabo at a hotel that attracted an A-list clientele seeking anonymity and rest. Ummm, as we were...

We arrived the day after Jennifer Aniston left, spotted a teeny Teri Hatcher at the gym, a teenier Nicole Richie on the beach and Adam Sandler at dinner. I tried to pretend I didn't care, but secretly stalked them...

Are you a celeb stalker or could you care less? I lived in NYC for years during college and spotting a celeb on the street never got old. Do certain celebs turn you into a creepy, staring mess or are you always calm, composed and collected?

How amazing is this Elle Italy shoot with Behati Prinsloo?
I love the safari inspired looks, the accessories and above all,
Be-hottie's hair color + style...
Her color is phenomenal, I'm totally bringing these pics as inspiration
for my colorist, William, on my next visit for highlights!
AND the Costa Rican setting makes me long for a return trip...

Lisi's Last Stand

Ok folks, I'm off to battle.
I'm fighting a tough final and it will not be pretty.
However, I promise to be fierce, fashionable....
...and slightly awkward, always.

Wish me luck!!!

Foot Candy

I spotted these in the Style Section of the NY Times & nearly fainted.
The colors.  The easy summer style.  And the prices...oh, the prices.
Not one of these pictured here is above $98.
Find them here, at MYMU.
And you better act fast, they're a pretty hot commodity.

The artist/creator of MYMU, Gabriela Lanardonne,
inspired by alpargatas of Buenos Aires.
Gabriela, if you're reading this, I'm a size 41, and I'll take every single pair.

Hair Inspiration: The Longish Bob

I don't know about you, but I could really use a new summer do.  My hair is long to the point of ragged and a great do could save me lots of time styling this summer.  I recently sent these photos to my friend for some hair inspiration and I've fallen in love with the look myself.
What are your thoughts for summer hair?

Are you a long, wavy beachy gal or are you ready for a good chop chop?

Wedding Song Suggestions

I was just sitting in the computer lab with some friends, crying hysterically listening to the song that I danced to with my husband at our wedding. Our first song dance was by Marc Cohn and it was "True Companion." Being that it's wedding season, I thought I'd suggest a few other songs that move me to tears...

I LOVED the version from American Idol from yesterday!

"Book of Love" by Peter Gabriel
(From the film, "Shall We Dance")

"Here, There & Everywhere" by The Beatles (my other wedding dance choice)

Enjoy!

Met Ball 2010: Fashion Fantasy League

My absolute favorite & the dress I was supposed to wear to the Met Ball...
except I got violently ill last minute, so I loaned it to my BFF-
Rachel Bilson, it's Louis Vuitton.
Diane Kruger looking stuhhh-ning in Calvin Klein & flawless makeup.
Emma Watson in what else?  Burberry...of course.
Mature, sophisticated & a slit that would never work in Qudditch.
Blake Lively & her stems wearing Marchesa.
Seeing these two back together brings a smirk to my face.
Who will cheat on whom first?  I put my money on Sienna...
Sienna, divine in Emilio Pucci, Jude Law could be wearing a hot dogger
sweatsuit from the 90s and it really wouldn't matter...
