Natalie as Muse

One of my favorite starlets, Natalie Portman, was recently crowned as the new face for Parfums Christian Dior. Her makeup & hair here are just stunning!
Looking forward to seeing her in their gorgeous, new campaigns soon!
What's your opinion?  Do we think the beauty will represent the line well?
Pretty in pink {DIOR cruise 2011 collection} at an event to honor Mike Nichols, who directed her in "Closer," one of my favorite films from a few years ago.

Getting Gorgeous: Copper + Mauve Smoky Eye

It's been awhile since I actually posted about makeup & I have received several requests to bring it back. I saw this photo of Michelle Trachtenberg {or Gossip Girl's own resident psycho, Georgina} on the Glamour Beauty Blog & thought she looked quite stunning.

I pulled together some of the things you will need to get her look. I think it's such a glamorous smoky eye. I can't wait to try it myself!

Who wants it?

Lid:
MAC, Satin Taupe
Stila, Kitten
Liner:
1. Lancome Le Crayon Kohl, Black
2. Stila, Bronze Smudge Pot
Mascara:
DIOR, DiorShow in Rich Black
Face:
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation
NARS, Orgasm Blush
Lips:
Estée Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick, Honey Pink

*Trick is to first line eyes w/black. Then apply bronze color with slanted brush over it.
Smudge, smudge, smudge...smudge, smudge, smudge*

A Model Complexion

Want silky, luminous skin??

Who doesn't??

I recently became frustrated with my face makeup & suddenly realized why. It was a real life Oprah "aha moment!" I had been afraid to use liquid foundation because I was under the {false} notion that it gave a somewhat mature, matte look. I tried stick foundations & creamy powdery ones which left me high & dry in terms of coverage. I recently felt like I wasn't wearing any at all because of the shoddy job they did.

Fast forward to last week. Saks has a sale. I am a sucker for a bargain. I had heard good things about Georgio Armani's foundations & was wowed by their pretty counter & advertisements. BINGO! The best decision I have made in a long time.

Long story short...if you are sick & tired of your foundation, or just want to achieve that gorgeous, flawless complexion look, I dare you NOT to try:

Georgio Armani: Luminous Silk Foundation & Blender Brush

{The brush is made from 100% natural hair & really helps to avoid that grainy look.}
