No Highlights for YOU! {Ruth Madoff}

Kiss your color goodbye...

When a gal's down in the dumps who can she turn to? Her friends? Her family? Her colorist? For Ruth Madoff, it seems like these are no longer viable options.

As for her salon, Pierre Michel, Mrs. Madoff had dropped in every six weeks over the last 10 years. One morning in March, she was told that she could no longer enjoy her routine of sitting with a glass of Poland Spring water while Giselle, a colorist often cited in Vogue and Allure, wielded the foils...

The salon also refused to send a stylist to her apartment, a few blocks away, Ms. Brady said. Too many clients at the salon had been swindled, and the owners did not want their image further harmed, she explained.

Was it worth it?

dude. i just started reading a mammoth vanity fair article (GOD THEIR ARTICLES ARE SO FUCKING LONG!!) about madoff and his wife and all that they did. they are truly awful people. but i am a little torn in that all that trusted him were so greedy. but they were totally taken advantage of. madoff is a fucker and his wife was in on it. the rest of their lives should be filled with misery and torture. yes, i have a dominant punisher gene, and these fuckers bring out the worst in me.

I'm reading the Vanity Fair article too,and it is TERRIBLE. Good for her salon and stylist-I mean, it was obviously so they would look better but who cares. That little lady better stalk up on beanies.

Super awesome/interesting post!!

Awwww poor (literally!) baby. The irony is that she needs a new hair color as a disguise... time to go to CVS for some dye, darling!

Lol, that's actually pretty funny, and I can see where the salon is coming from. I wonder how that made her feel? To be a dedicated customer for 10-years and no longer welcomed into their salon. Interesting.

Great find!

I read the VF article last month as well as the one about their sons this month. of course I read the Style Section yesterday and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her on the cover. her highlights and color are the least of her worries. what a nightmare. As if people aren't traumatized enough about it now we have to look at her face on the cover of the Style Section that we read for entertainment and relaxation on a Sunday morning? I feel no pity for this woman. I think it's nearly impossible for her not to have known all these years that she and her husband were crooks...especially given her behavior in the days leading up to the arrest. The worst of the worst.
